Here are some samples of our singing:-

A verse from a Christmas carol with a Basque tune "Gabriel's Message"

The first part of Thomas Tallis's church anthem "If Ye Love Me"

Thomas Morley's tune to a verse from Shakespeare's words "It Was A Lover And His Lass"

We currently number 19 singers, coming from many different walks of life. There are no professional musicians, but we all share a love of music and a desire to sing. We include a wide range of ages, and of shapes and sizes, too! We rehearse on Wednesday evenings in the Village Hall in St Hilary, near Cowbridge.

Members of the choir need to be able to read music, but we do not expect them to be able to sing anything perfectly at first sight. We always welcome new members in all voice parts. Could you fit in? If you like the sound of our approach to music, please get in touch. There is no formal audition, but prospective new members can come and sing for a few weeks to make sure that they get on with the choir's approach.

Having web access and the equipment to play MIDI files will help you to learn new pieces.
